EMCC Software has a wealth of mobile Java expertise from JSR and API implementation to application development.
Java Experience
Over several years, EMCC has built an impressive catalogue of Java experience. This has included implementing Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and Java Service Requests (JSRs) to extend the functionality of the platform and developing Java applications.
Project highlights of our extensive Java experience include:
Siemens Mobile - MIDP Implementations for the SX1 device which included extending the MIDP APIs, Java Application Manager (JAM) enhancements, JSR implementations and producing a suite of MIDlets to fully test the new Java API's.
Panasonic & Sendo – Implementing MIDP 1.0 and 2.0 on their S60 handsets which included implementation of Java APIs, JSRs and Vodafone Service Class Libraries (VSCL).
UIQ – Implementing JSR 248 MSA (Mobile Service Architecture) which included the implementation of earlier JSRs involving Bluetooth, multimedia, SIP (Session Initiation Protocol), location and security functionality.
Symbian – Implementing JSRs related to image processing and payment capabilities.
EMCC MIDP Applications – “Floofs” – a character based MMS messaging suite launched by O2 in 2004.
Interactive Mobile Services and Applications - EMCC has created a range of interactive mobile services using Java technologies. At the core of these technologies is a scalable, multi-session engine framework, which runs on a public server and allows multiple users to interact via protocols such as WAP and SMS. This is implemented in Java, making advanced use of Java Servlet and JSP (JavaServer Pages) technologies.
“EMCC Software worked for Siemens Mobile Phones to provide first-class implementations of Symbian OS and Java extensions required by our new handsets”
