Software Platforms
EMCC Software has extensive development expertise in all major smartphone platforms.
All mobile devices run on an underlying software platform. The simplest devices use proprietary software while mid range devices often run some form of Java or Brew platform typically with significant proprietary extensions. High-end “smartphones” tend to be based on relatively open platforms such as Symbian or Windows Mobile where third party developers can access most of the platform functionality to create complex applications.
At EMCC software we focus on smartphone development. The platforms in which we have significant experience include Symbian, UIQ, S60, Windows Mobile and Java.
Enterprise Platforms
Many companies are starting to investigate the possibilities of efficiency savings and improved customer service that an integrated mobile solution can provide. EMCC has experience with a number of platforms that are built around the provision of high data usage services for mobiles such as those required by organizations. These platforms include BlackBerry MDS, Nokia, Intellisync, Dexterra.
