S60
EMCC Software has developed many applications throughout all versions of the S60 platform and has contributed to the creation of key platform components.
S60 Competence Centre
EMCC Software was one of the first group of companies to be announced as a S60 Competence Centre in 2003. As well as creating platform components such as iCalendar, EMCC wrote the first official book on S60 development, Developing Series 60 Applications and contributed to numerous bespoke S60 solutions. EMCC Software offers the only training courses that cover the S60 3rd Edition which differs substantially from the previous versions.
S60 Development Experience
Since the first devices appeared in 2002, S60 has gone on to become the most successful smartphone platform to date and is the leader in terms of market share for most regions across the globe. As well as significant sales, S60 devices are the most numerous and varied of all smartphones. EMCC has created many applications for third party organizations such as Kodak, developed pre-installed solutions with Nokia and Avaya. Access to platform source code and technology roadmaps has meant that EMCC has been able to implement technically challenging solutions that are beyond the capabilities of most other organizations.
