EMCC Software has provided significant assistance to Sony Ericsson in the creation of their UIQ smartphones
Implementing BlackBerry Connect
Since 2002, EMCC Software has been engaged in implementing the popular BlackBerry Connect service on Sony Ericsson’s UIQ devices. Starting with the P800 and including the latest handsets such as the W950i and the M600, EMCC has been leading the integration project and managing the relations between the partners. Sony Ericsson’s UIQ handset are growing in popularity and these feature rich devices are being marketed with the revived “Walkman” brand which broke new ground in “mobile” music and retains strong affections amongst its public. BlackBerry Connect is the push email service for non-RIM handsets and has an established presence within the enterprise market. The combination of these features provides the market with compelling new devices which are reflected in rapidly increasing sales.
Other Sony Ericsson Experience
EMCC has also been involved in integrating a push email solution based on Exchange ActiveSync on to Sony Ericsson’s latest handsets which also enables synchronization of calendar items and contacts from Microsoft servers. In addition EMCC is working on the development of many of the components for the latest versions of the UIQ platform.
